Holland: First Israeli peppers arrive
The first deliveries of Israeli peppers have arrived in Holland. “But the volumes are still minimal, we are expecting a bit more next year. Then the prices will also be a bit more amicable, because the domestic deliveries will stop”, says Frank Mosterd. The prices for Israeli peppers are around 6.50/7 euros for red and 6.5 euros for yellow just now.
“There won’t be less peppers from Israel this season”, says Frank. “I expect the same season as last year, unless the Spanish crop has quality problems. The demand is definitely there for Israeli peppers, only the price is a bit high at the moment.”
